Jason Wilcox Wants Premier League Electric Forward at United
Ruben Amorim is determined to not only enhance the quality of his Manchester United squad but also elevate the team’s physical conditioning, as he believes the current players are not suited to his high-intensity style of football.
The head coach has expressed his dissatisfaction to the club’s co-owners regarding the inconsistent recruitment strategy, which has left the team reliant on counter-attacking football rather than a possession-based approach.
This limitation was evident in their recent match against Arsenal, where Amorim admitted he was forced to adopt a defensive low block due to the squad’s current limitations.
However, as he looks ahead to next season, the former Sporting CP manager is anticipating significant changes to the team’s structure and personnel.

One player on United’s radar is Bournemouth’s versatile forward, Antoine Semenyo. Jason Wilcox, a key figure at the club, is reportedly a big admirer of the Ghanaian international.
Semenyo, who could be available for around €35-40 million, has impressed this season with his physicality, versatility, and end product.
The 25-year-old showcased his abilities against Amorim’s former side, scoring a goal and causing constant problems for Noussair Mazraoui while operating on the right wing.
Semenyo’s adaptability is a major attraction for Amorim, as he can also play on the left wing, as a central striker, or even in midfield if required.
This season, he has already contributed nine goals and five assists, drawing interest from several top clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Newcastle United, and Napoli.
For Manchester United, Semenyo represents a dynamic and powerful option who could help transform the team’s attacking dynamics, aligning with Amorim’s vision for a more intense and versatile style of play.
