Ineos Connection: Manutd Earmarked For OGC Nice Best Performing Duo

Manchester United have been strongly linked with moves for OGC Nice duo Jean-Clair Todibo and Khephren Thuram in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The fact that there is now the INEOS link between Nice and Man Utd could hurt Arsenal and Liverpool as they apparently show an interest in signing Thuram in the summer.

One of the top performers in Ligue 1 last season, Todibo and Thuram are rated incredibly highly by everyone at Nice, including new manager Farioli, but while the boss wants to keep Todibo and Thuram, he admitted he could not guarantee no business would be done in the summer.

“I also have two vice-captains Khephren Thuram and Jean-Clair Todibo who are among the best players in the team,” Farioli told the media.

“We would like both players to stay for long, but you cannot escape the reality of the transfer window. We’ll see what happens. As long as they’re here, I’m enjoying having them.”

He continued: “Of course we would like Todibo to stay, but it can be complicated. We have to wait to see who will want to buy him and if everyone finds an agreement there.

“He is a leader, a very strong player mentally, he has improved a lot and he is ready to reach the very top level.”

United have drawn up a sizeable list of potential replacements for a possible exit for Maguire, Varane and Jonny Evans.

One thing that guarantees a potential move to the Premier League now is the link between Nice’s ownership INEOS and Manchester United under Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who has purchased a minority stake there which is expected to grow in the coming years.

So, now if there’s any interest in top talent at Nice, like Thuram, or like Jean-Clair Todibo, you’d probably expect them to go to Manchester United before you’d expect them to go to the likes of an Arsenal or a Liverpool.
