Man United to Table Bid for Norwegian Talented CB

Manchester United Eyeing Move for SK Brann’s Promising Defender Eivind Helland

Manchester United are reportedly weighing up a formal bid for highly-rated SK Brann defender Eivind Helland, as the club continues its search for defensive reinforcements this summer.

The 20-year-old Norwegian centre-back has emerged as a key target for the Red Devils, with scouts having reportedly watched him in action on multiple occasions.

Helland, who stands at an imposing 6ft 5in, has been a standout performer for SK Brann in the Norwegian Eliteserien, making 37 senior appearances for the club.

His impressive displays have caught the eye of United’s scouting department, who are keen to bolster their defensive depth as manager Ruben Amorim looks to shape his squad for the upcoming season.

While Helland’s current contract with Brann runs until the end of 2026, it is understood that an offer from a club of Manchester United’s stature would be incredibly difficult for the young defender to turn down.

His market value is currently estimated at around €3.5 million, suggesting that a move would not break the bank for United, who have already secured the signings of Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon this summer.

Sources indicate that Manchester United’s primary focus in the transfer window has been on attacking reinforcements, with the club reportedly completing a deal for Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo.

However, the interest in Helland highlights United’s ongoing strategy to identify and secure promising young talents who can develop into future first-team players.
