Man Utd Set To Hijack Deal For Brighton’s Full-back Target

Manchester United are aiming to bolster their full-back department due to consistent injuries to full-back options Luke Shaw and Malacia. United are currently interested in one of Turkey’s best players.

According to Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, the Red Devils are very interested in signing Fenerbahce star Ferdi Kadioglu.

The club have made an official offer to the Super Lig outfit, he is currently on United shortlist with Luke Shaw and Malacia both currently injyred. It was reported that Fenerbahce could sanction his sale for £30 million.

United will meet on the player’s side in the coming days to discuss the possibility of a transfer in the hopes of beating Brighton to his signature.

The Turkey international started off his career as an attacking midfielder and a winger, but he has transformed into a regular full-back.

The right-footed star can comfortably operate on either side of the back four, but he made 42 appearances from left-back last term.

At Euro 2024, Kadioglu showed his class with a passing accuracy of almost 87 percent. He won a stunning 66 percent of his duels with 3.6 tackles, five recoveries and two clearances per game. Stats via footmob.

Kadioglu is well suited to operate as an inverted full-back from either side. He could be seen as a back-up for the injury-plagued Luke Shaw from the left-back position for the Red Devils.
